Il Servizio Volontario Europeo offre ai giovani dai 18 ai 30 anni un'esperienza di apprendimento interculturale in un contesto non formale, promuove la loro integrazione sociale e la partecipazione attiva. I giovani possono svolgere un'attività di volontariato in un paese del programma o al di fuori dell'Europa, per un periodo che va da 2 a 12 mesi, lavorando come "volontari europei" in progetti locali in vari settori o aree di intervento.
My name is Henrieta Pivkova, I´m 26 and I´m from Slovakia.
After I finished my school in Bratislava I started to work as a beautician there, for 7 years.
And than I got invitation to go to Link in Italy for 7 months, I decided in just one minute that this is what I want to try in my life. Go abroad as a volunteer and try something totally different than before, also it was a big challenge for me.
I like creative work and work with people and I believe that Italy and all people from Link will be a good opportunity for me to be more open-minded and also I hope that I will have chance to help them in interesting projects what they are working on.
Ciao! My name is Jessie van Erp and I’m from the Netherlands. I’m 18 years old and I found out that I’m the first Dutch volunteer at LINK! Last year I passed my final exams, and decided that it was time to do something completely different.
Memories I want to have later, I have to make now, so this year I will be volunteer at Link for seven months, and I can’t wait to discover and be part of Altamura and its people.
The 31st of March is the deadline for sending your stories of international volunteering to participate to the contest Scriptamanent 2012. The third edition will collect stories in many languages from all over Europe.
The best stories will be included in the book and the authors of the best rated storied on the web, will be invited to an international meeting which will be hosted in Altamura (Italy) in the summer 2012. Read the stories from the first edition here

Link selects two new volunteers for the project 2010-IT-78. Hosting organization: Associazione culturale Link. The new project will start in October 2011 and the duration is 10 months.
