Dibattiti sul futuro dell'Europa e workshop per formare i leader di domani. Ecco il resoconto della nostra partecipazione al progetto "Youth 4 Europe" a Larnaca, Cipro.
From 16 to 24 September 2025, our group of seven young people took part in the Erasmus+ project Youth 4 Europe in Larnaca, Cyprus. The experience brought together participants from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Denmark, Lithuania, and Spain for a week of discovery, learning, and cultural exchange. From the very first day, we felt the excitement of meeting new people and starting an adventure that would soon become unforgettable. The first activities focused on getting to know each other and building trust within the group, which helped us quickly feel like part of one big European family.
During the following days, we had the opportunity to meet Members of the European Parliament and discuss topics such as active citizenship, youth participation, and the role of young people in shaping Europe’s future. These conversations were inspiring and made us realize how important it is for our generation to be involved in decision-making. We also took part in several workshops organized by the Cyprus Youth Council and the Paralimni Youth group, where we exchanged ideas, shared experiences, and learned more about the power of youth work.
The weekend was dedicated to discovering Cyprus and its culture. On Saturday we joined a day trip to Nicosia, where we visited the Cyprus Museum and explored the old city center. Later, we took part in the “Up to Youth” Festival, a lively and colorful event that celebrated creativity, music, and young people’s initiatives. The following day continued with more workshops, and on Monday we had the chance to relax and enjoy the beauty of Ayia Napa during a day trip to the coast. Swimming in the clear blue water and spending time together strengthened our bond even more.
Evenings were filled with laughter, music, and delicious food during the intercultural nights. Each country presented its traditions, dances, and cuisine, turning every night into a celebration of diversity. We experienced Cypriot hospitality during the Cyprus Intercultural Night and discovered the cultures of Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, and Denmark in a joyful and friendly atmosphere. These moments showed us how different cultures can connect and complement each other perfectly.
The last days of the project were dedicated to reflection and evaluation.
The Youth 4 Europe project was more than just a trip or a training experience; it was a journey of personal and collective growth. We came back with new knowledge, stronger European values, and friendships that will last a lifetime. Cyprus welcomed us with warmth and gave us an experience that will stay in our hearts forever.
