Level UpCiao tutti! We are a group of volunteers coming from different parts of Europe that joined the Link association to bring the community together and to enjoy the summer events. We are happy to meet the locals and bring our creativity and skills to the association.

We are all different but together we are gonna make the best of this month.

Hello all! My name is Elena and I'm from Iasi, Romania. I am a graphic designer and art history lover who came to Altamura with the desire to explore the beautiful surroundings and learn the language and make friends here. I am now taking a summer break to recharge and refocus my energy in helping the Link association. This is my first time here so I  want to make the most out of my experience.

Ciao! My name is Riina and I’m a 22-year-old student from Tampere, Finland. I’m studying nursing, but right now I’m on a summer break. I love animals, at home I have a cat and an aquarium with fishes, snails and shrimp. This is my second time as a volunteer in Altamura. The last project was about Christmas, so this is like the opposite of that :D. I love summer, and I’m so excited to see what it looks like in Italy. One of my biggest passions in life is helping people and I love to travel, so volunteering is the perfect opportunity to do both.

Hi, everyone!! I'm Carmen, a 23 year old Spaniard that is just figuring out life. I studied communications in Seville, my home city, because I wanted a job where I could travel the world. After finishing my studies I found myself aiming towards a more meaningful way to live, still searching for it. All I know by now it's that culture it's what brings all of us together. That's the reason why I came to Altamura. I hope that this experience can lead me to new experiences and explore my creativity. I would love to be part of a community and help with the local events as well, I love music and arts. Everyone here seems kind so I think that my first volunteering experience will be nice, wish me luck!

Hello! I'm Ada, 22, and originally from Ukraine. I did my bachelor's in Vienna, and now am finishing up my gap year with this project in Altamura before moving to Bordeaux, France, in September to study development economics for master's. I really enjoy all kinds of international experiences, from solo traveling to volunteering, where I can meet people from all over the world and discover the unknown parts of me :) I enjoy all things creative, from music to painting, reading (and what better place for that than Agorateca), learning more about languages and history, and am excited to apply all of that during my ESC!
