Roberto ha concluso il suo progetto in Grecia presso l'associazione HYP. Ecco quello che ci ha raccontato.
Over these months, I had the opportunity to work on projects that had a direct impact on the local community, while also growing both as a person and as a volunteer. I worked closely with various local initiatives, such as collecting fruits and vegetables from markets with BOROUME, and oraganizations dedicated to redistributing clothes and second-hand items to those in need. Those acts made me realize the importance of solidarity in everyday life and the value of reducing waste.Throughout my time in Athens, I learned a great deal not only about volunteering but also about Greek culture and how the community addresses social challenges. I met incredible people, from other international volunteers to members of local communities, who taught me the value of solidarity and cooperation.
Reflecting on this experience, I can say that it has been a positive and challenging journey that has helped me grow. It has pushed me to step outside my comfort zone, allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the community, and enriched my understanding of both volunteering and human connection. Ultimately, this experience has been a truly transformative chapter in my life.
