I spent a week in Bucharest, Romania, in the association A.C.T.O.R, in a Jobshadow in the project ME+NTOR. A very enriching week personally and professionally, full of beautiful encounters.
What is this ME + NTOR? The theme is mentoring, so it's a week of knowledge exchange, mentoring techniques, a chance to see coordination, tutoring and mentoring in a different country and association.
I had the opportunity to attend several workshops, activities and meetings to understand the function and the way of doing of the association A.C.T.O.R. But also to see how it goes the life of a European volunteer within the association.
Let me explain the A.C.T.O.R association in a few lines. A.C.T.O.R has two main activities, interventions in hospitals and schools. These two activities are linked by a Christmas campaign, which involves the participation of the children of the school to collect toys. These toys are then redistributed to children in hospitals at Christmas. And so many other varied activities.
This week was very enriching, I leave with new skills, knowledge. This enrichment serves me now, in my work but also in my life. I am very happy to have done this project which taught me more professional skills.
