After several days of preparation, the final event of the European project Health Common Good, in collaboration with the Link Club, arrived.
Since our topic was mental health, we wanted to create a meaningful and fun experience in an environment where it was easy to talk about this topic, which is sometimes a bit difficult to deal with.
After a short presentation with the young people who came, they were divided into three groups that were rotating until they passed through all the tables. In the first place we had a huge mural with unfinished drawings, which the kids had to complete and color as they wanted, with flowers, faces, different objects, etc.
The second activity was a very funny game, stairs and snakes, where by throwing a dice, the participants had to reach the goal, but be careful not to fall into a snake, embodied in unhealthy habits. They had to try to climb the stairs, which were healthy habits, and sometimes, if they reached a square with a star, answer questions about our topic.
Finally the last activity was a debate, where faced with a statement related to mental health, six boys and girls had to divide themselves for or against and debate, and those watching from the audience decided at the end whether they were convinced or not.
In addition to this, there was an exhibition of photos of the project. On one side you could see the work of the different parts of this project. On the other, photographs of the participants of the activities, in which you could see their name, their age and a piece of advice given by the older ones to the younger ones and the younger ones to the older ones.
This exhibition is still in the Agorateca, so if you have not seen it, you are in time, it is worth it.
As a final activity, to close the day, we took colorful balloons in which we put a positive message that we wanted to give to another person, and after inflating them, balloons in the air! We released them and mixed them up playing for a while like children and then we took one of them at random, taking a nice message home to end the day and our project.
